In the material world this sort of relationship is most abominable because it is a perverted reflection of the parakiya-rasa in the spiritual world, where it is the highest kind of loving affair. Such feelings between the devotee and the Lord are presented by the influence of yogamaya, Those under the spell of the material energy cannot at all appreciate the activities of yogamaya, for a conditioned soul can hardly understand the pure reciprocation between the Lord and His devotee. Radha-Krsna pastimes should not be discussed at the present time. Unless one is highly elevated in spiritual understanding it is risky to discuss these pastimes. Caitanya Mahaprabhu never discussed rddhd-krsna-lild with ordinary persons. We have so many other things to discuss: what is the soul, what is bhakti. To understand Radha and Krsna’s pastimes is our aim, but we should not indulge in this at present. Then there is sure to be misunderstanding.1

(шанта-раса) 11.19.36 The word śama, or śānta-rasa, indicates that one is attached to the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. His mind is fixed in constantly meditating on the Lord. Dama means controlling the senses and not being deviated from the Lord's service; titikṣā means to tolerate unhappiness; dhṛti means complete control of the tongue and the genitals.
